New self-assessment feature from FreeAgent
FreeAgent recently introduced a new update to enhance its Self Assessment functionality. For users with a sole trader or limited company account in FreeAgent who also manage a property, there's now an option to record property income on the Self Assessment tax return.
FreeAgent now supports the UK property page (SA105) for sole traders and limited company directors. When completing the Self Assessment tax return in FreeAgent, users will have the option to include and complete the relevant property pages.
In addition, the self-employment (SA103) page has been incorporated into limited company account types. This allows users to enter details of any self-employment income earned by limited company directors and include them with their submissions.
For more information, users can refer to the Knowledge Base or log in to FreeAgent to access the property page on their Self Assessment tax return. Additionally, users are reminded of the upcoming 31st January deadline to file their returns online. FreeAgent assures users that their accounting software will be available in the new year to provide continued support. If you are an unincorporated landlord seeking additional functionality for managing property income, explore FreeAgent for Landlords.
